Italian artist Ian Bertolucci (b. 1995) graduated in 2019 from the Academy of Fine Arts of Carrara, specializing in painting and visual arts. His hyper-realistic oil paintings are defined by a striking use of dense, vibrant colors, dramatic lighting, and bold contrasts, creating lifelike forms that almost sculpt themselves on the canvas

Bertolucci’s work is infused with a dynamic energy, where the interplay of light and shadow not only enhances the realism but also adds a sculptural quality, blurring the line between two-dimensional art and three-dimensional space. The intensity of his color palette, paired with meticulous attention to detail, commands the viewer’s attention, dazzling them before inviting a deeper, more intimate exploration of every nuance within the composition

Rhythm, repetition, and the exploration of fluid, reflective, and translucent materials are key themes in Bertolucci's current practice. He often revisits certain subjects, obsessively reworking them to explore their full visual potential, creating a sense of movement and rhythm across his paintings

Represented in Taiwan, Spain, and Australia, Bertolucci is gaining significant international recognition for his ability to push the boundaries of hyper-realism, captivating audiences around the world with his intense and immersive works
